Can I Take Contraceptive Pill with Primulate N Together?

Patient's Query

Can i take any contraceptive pill just a single dose because i am unsure about my last activity? And if i am taking primulate N due to irregular periods from last 2 months can i take both of these together

Answered by Dr. Nisarg Patel

Taking a single dose of any contraceptive pill for emergency contraception is typically effective only if taken soon after unprotected intercourse. If you’re already on Primolut N to manage your irregular cycles, combining both may not be advisable without medical guidance. It’s crucial to ensure that any medications you take together won’t interfere with each other. I recommend consulting your gynecologist to discuss your situation. They can offer tailored advice and help you explore suitable options that address both your concerns and menstrual regulation effectively.

Hello, I want to know about my periods not coming. So last month Jan 2024, I engaged in unprotected intercourse roughly a week before my actual period dates then took an iPill. After few days yes my normal periods did come which was 28th January. Now February 2024 is gone and I haven't got my periods for this month

Female | 23

Missing your period may seem concerning, but it happens sometimes. The iPill can affect menstrual cycles. Reasons include stress, hormones, or being pregnant. Look for tiredness and nausea - they could signal pregnancy. Taking a test gives clarity.

I am 17 year old girl... I have missed my periods for 8 months.. Once i consulted a gynaecology doctor she said i have no problems like pcod... And after some months i tried home remedy but didn't get results what should i do...? Can i take periods tablets for all month to get periods

Female | 17

It's important to know why periods can be missed. Stress, sudden weight change, intense workouts, hormone irregularities, or some diseases might lead to this. It may not be safe to take period pills without knowing what caused it. Instead, go back to the doctor. They could conduct tests and find out the exact problem then give appropriate treatment.

I have a late period and im sexually active the sexual act was without penetration and I took the morning after pill Is there any chance for me to get pregnant

Female | 23

The effectiveness of the pill depends on factors like timing and individual variables. If you're sexually active and concerned about pregnancy, consider taking a pregnancy test if your period is significantly delayed.

Female | 27

FPP ultrasound, short for 'fetal biophysical profile ultrasound,' is a special test ordered by your doctor to check your baby's health at 36 weeks. This test evaluates your baby's movements, muscle tone, breathing, and overall well-being to ensure everything is normal. It's a routine test to confirm that the fetus is healthy and won't need any intervention.
