Do I Have Cancer Symptoms: Lump, Pain & Swelling?

I had pain in my armpit without lumps and even body aches, fatigue, bloating, reduced appetite and breathlessness occasionally. So I consulted general physician, he checked but no lumps found and he said due to panic regarding this lump I was getting all symptoms. But he suggested for thyroid and usg whole abdomen. Yesterday the reports came in which stated only cysts were found and nothing serious. But two days ago I observed a small pea size lump on my neck and stinging pain radiating in my body and hoarness. And yesterday I observed a swollen abdomen with pain What should I do. I fear it's cancer. I observed all this within a week of time

41 year old lady underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallbladder stones, post surgery if biopsy turned to be cancer, we need to evaluate and treat further. My question is what else treatment u had after diagnosis of cancer. Usually we do PET CT scan to know stage followed by radical cholecystectomy for gallbladder cancer. Frankly speaking gallbladder cancer per se has poor prognosis only

A 45 year old woman just had surgery of left kidney removal due to renal cell carcinoma. A report came back saying “Microscopically; - left side radical nephrectomy ; - Sections show; renal cell carcinoma, nuclear grade Ill according WHO/ISUP grading system (composed of 4 grade), the growth composed of diffuse, tubular micropapillary patterns, the cells having granular eosinophilic cytoplasm, with invasion of pelvicalyseal system and renal sinus. Minimal tumor necrosis. Positive Lymphovascular and renal capsular invasion (but no invasion to perirenal fat). No renal vein invasion. Pieces of rib was tumor free. The growth limited to kidney, no extra renal extension. AJCC TNM staging 2N0Mx group stage I| (T2= mass > 7 cm< 10 cm limited to kidney)”. Some doctors are stating that chemotherapy is needed now because there is a risk of it being spread in the body (not necessarily organs). So my question is what does this report summarize or mean? Can you explain it to me and how chemotherapy really is needed?

Hi, my mother has been diagnosed with a suspected case of breast cancer. The initial biopsy and a CT scan has been conducted.The CT scan suggests some lesions in retropectal lymph nodes too. And a PET CT scan is scheduled for the 25th of Jan. We need some guidance on which hospital to pick, and what should be ideal line of treatment. My mother lives in Kochi.

Hemithyroidectomy surgery was done of my wife,age'-48yrs in Augst 2019.But unfortunately biopsy of the lump opened was not done.from january she feel pain in cold in the lower front portion now and then.wound is fully cured. Please advice me for further treatment.

You could start evaluation by doing USG - Thyroid and also take a Surgeon's opinion.

Hello Mithun, Surgery is the main treatment for DCIS. The most common type of breast cancer is ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), indicating the cancer cell growth starts in the milk ducts. The goal of therapy for DCIS is to prevent the development of invasive breast cancer. Therapeutic approaches include surgery, radiation therapy, and adjuvant endocrine therapy. Patients with DCIS undergo local treatment with breast-conserving therapy (BCT) or mastectomy. BCT consists of lumpectomy (also called breast-conserving surgery, wide excision, or partial mastectomy) followed in most cases by adjuvant radiation. Patients found to have invasive or micro-invasive disease at surgery should be managed accordingly. Although mastectomy achieves excellent long-term survival with a local recurrence rate on the order of 1 per cent, it provides overly aggressive treatment for many women. BCT has less morbidity but is associated with a higher risk of local recurrence. Hormone therapy and radiation therapy are adjuvant therapies if considered. Treatment for any cancer depends on the stage of cancer, age of patient, his general condition mainly. But mainly the treatment includes - Surgery. Surgeon removes affected part or sometimes a lobe or entire lung, depending on all the parameters of patient. Types of surgeries are- Wedge resection, Segmental resection, Lobectomy and Pneumonectomy. Doctors may also remove lymph nodes from chest to check for cancer. Doctor may suggest chemo or radiation therapy before surgery in order to shrink the cancer if it is a large. Also the same may be done in case recurrence is suspected. Radiation therapy It is also recommended in whom surgery is not recommended as the first line of treatment.. Chemotherapy Chemo along with adjuvant treatment to surgery also is given to relieve pain and other symptoms in advanced cancer. Radiosurgery Radiosurgery can be advised for people with small lung cancers who can't undergo surgery. It may be given in metastasis of cancer. Targeted drug therapy It is also one of the treatments available but usually used in advance cancer. Immunotherapy Is a newer treatment used in treating cancer. Hi, My father had suffered 4th stage of lung cancer. we identifed 2015 treated in Basavatarakam indo american cancer hospital in hyderabad.They started chemoteherapy around 16 sittings after they stopped.we dont have any issue 2018 december.Again continuosuly cough we are again consult doctor they are given 2 chemo sittings after they can review by CT Scan they said no use for chemo and stopped the treatment.Give me any suggetions for me there is any alternative treatment.
